B. Implementation Strategies and Measures

In working to achieve the overall objective of becoming a first-rate university, we have formulated the six-point strategy outlined in Figure 2 below (to educational excellence, diverse learning, recruit the finest teachers and researchers, strengthen infrastructure and software and hardware environment, promote outstanding, cutting-edge research, promote academic internationalization, streamline administration) to establish an excellent teaching and research campus for students and faculty and through promotion of the vital measures listed in Table 1, thereby developing outstanding students to become society's leading lights and innovators of knowledge and industry.

Promote academic internationalization
  • Boost participation in major international university organizations and take on instrumental roles
  • Strengthen sister school exchanges
  • Actively recruit international students

  • Support faculty and research staff to participate in international affairs
  • Assist young faculty to broaden international horizons
  • Offer instruction in English language; establish international student scholarships
  • Internationalize master's and doctoral student research

In the effort to put the above-listed strategies and measures into practice, in addition to exercising strict control, NTU shall pay particular attention to horizontal integration among various measures.
